How do I charge items to a non-guest?

This article describes how to charge items to a person who is not staying in the hotel.

For example, the sale of items from the hotel gift shop to a non-guest.

 

From the menu bar, go to Cash Register -> Chance Sales.

Enter the person's last name or last name & first name. Click OK to search.

You can either search for an existing profile or if there is no record found, create a new profile.

Once the relevant profile has been selected, the following window will appear.

If your cash register was not opened, open it in the usual method.

Press Tab key. This will bring up the list of TAAs.

Select the relevant TAA. Click OK.

Enter the price and other information in the relevant fields. Click OK to post.

Pay off the account in the usual method.

If you decide not to proceed to check out the account and had clicked on Cancel above, the following screen appears.

This is because the Chance Sales function opens a temporary account like a Day Use room and it needs to be charge/settlement needs to be done immediately.

To check-out this account, you will either need to post the payment OR void the charge.
